DIRECTIONS: Select a character from the novel you are reading. Demonstrate your analysis of the character's motivations, actions,
thoughts, and interactions with other characters so far in the novel, using one of the genres listed below. Be sure to use the novel as
evidence directly incorporated into your project, through short direct quotations or paraphrases You are also encouraged to
incorporate outside research into your project by examining criticism and topics/issues that are brought up by the characters.
You must frame your project with the following:
- Letter to the Reader This will help frame your project and explain the purpose of your research, including why you have chosen the
genre and what you have learned in this process.
- Body of Your Project: The body of your project should be in the form of two self-selected genres chosen from the list below, and
through it, you will demonstrate your analysis of the character. This artifact should show your knowledge and creativity.
- Works Cited page lifyou include research outside the novel itself): Be sure that you a) give credit to each source from which you
drew information in order to build each artifact in the project and b) establish your credibility as a writer who has conducted
significant research to support your findings
