Why are the ideas of democracy and communism not compatible?
In a democracy, citizens have little power over their own lives. In communist governments people have power
not only over their lives, but also in the government.
In a democracy, citizens have power to control their government and their lives. In communist governments,
people have little economic or political control.
Communist governments focus on rights for higher social classes, while democracies tend to focus on rights for
lower social classes.
Leaders of democratic governments are usually dictators. Communists are strongly against dictatorships.
